Springtime Home Maintenance Check List
Spring is around the corner! We at Drew’s are always looking forward to the world returning to life and a bit of warmer weather.
This is the perfect time to complete a home check in preparation for the warming weather and into the summer. Drew’s Roofing and Home repair have a couple of recommendations for you as we get ready. The goal here is to help as the warmer weather will mean the home HVAC will be working almost 24/7, and we want to help you save on the home energy bill.
Gutters and downspouts
The outside is the first place to start, and we can help. We can check your gutters and clean those out. Leaving any detritus will start to rot. The rotting can bring more serious issues around the wood trim at the roof as well as invited unwelcome critters. Water will also run away from the home foundation, another necessity since spring and summer often bring its fair share of surprise showers.
Roof inspection
This is why we recommend the gutters checked and cleaned. We are heading to the roof to check it over. Remember: This is what we do for a living. We know what to look for in terms of leaks and damage. We will let you know of any issues found and allow you to make decisions on what to do. The home roof is the main protection of the home, so fixing it is necessary.
Screen doors and windows
The screens keep the bugs away and the breezes in – provided there are no unnecessary holes and tears. We will review these and the windows and can make replacements or repairs if necessary.
Drew’s Roofing and Home repair do these services for our living and career. We have the understanding and tools to make these repairs. This is why we always continually insist not trying to do any of these repairs and inspections yourself. There is a good chance of getting hurt or damaging the home, costing you more than necessary.
We hope you enjoy your spring and will speak to you soon!
